पूर्वी भारतात
गावांची लोकसंख्या खूप कमी असायची. म्हणजे इंग्रज भारत सोडून वर्षे गेल्यानंतरही
२५ - ३० वर्षे हि परिस्थिती होती. त्याकाळी गावोगाव बामणांची २ - ३ ची घरे असायची. हि बामणे गावात फिरून माधुकरी किंवा भिक्षा मागायची आणि हे करत
असताना गावातील प्रत्येक घराशी व घरातील प्रत्येकाशी त्यांचा संबंध येई. मग सर्वांशी गोड बोलून गावातील आणि प्रत्येक घरातील घटना व
खबरी यांची माहिती सहज होई.
याचाच फायदा हि बामणे गावातील प्रत्येक गोर गरीब व श्रीमंत यांच्यावर प्रभाव पाडण्यासाठी करत. बहुजन समाजाचा बाहेरच्या जगाशी व याज्ञानाशी काडीचाही संबंध नसायचा याला कारण याच
प्रभावातून घातलेली सिंधू बंदी व शिक्षण बंदी हे होते. यामुळे गावात किंवा घरोघर घडणाऱ्या घटनांवर याच बमनांचे वर्चस्व असायचे. भोळ्याभाबड्या या बहुजन समाजाचा यासांगितलेल्या खोट्या पुराण कथांमुळे दैववादावर
विश्वास असे आणि हि बामनआम्हीच या पृथ्वीवरील भूदेव असल्याचे सांगायची.
अशातच जर कुणाला बामणांच्या या लबाडीची व हरामखोरीची माहिती झाली आणि तो
इतरांना जागृत करू
लागला तर याची बामनांना लगेच खबर होत असे आणि ते गावात धर्म संकटात आल्याचा कांगावा करत असत.
आजूबाजूच्या २-३ गावातील बामनांच्या मदतीने अश्या व्यक्तीचा नयनाट करत
आणि गावकर्यांना भासवत कि,
धर्म संकटात आल्यामुळे देवानेच अवतार घेवून त्या व्यक्तीला यमसदनाला पाठविले किंवा तो महान असल्याने त्याचा देवानेच उद्धार केला. अशाप्रकारे देव आणि धर्माच्या भीतीमुळे कोणी बंद करत नसे आणि केलेच
तरी त्याचा वरीलप्रमाणे कट काढला जाई.
तसेच नंतरच्या
काळात पुढे इंग्रजांमुळे विज्ञानाचा भारतात प्रसार
होत गेला. तर
या विज्ञानावर याच बामणांनी ताबा
मिळविला आणि
त्याचा वापर बहुजानांवरील प्रभाव कायम ठेवण्यास
करू लागले. आज विज्ञानाच्या मदतीने दैववाद व
बामनवादाचा प्रसार भारतात केला जातो.
I am a brahmin by birth. Yes, I am proudly saying I'm a brahmin. From my observations from childhood, what I can say about being a brahmin is that a brahmin is an intelligent and important caste. It is true that some brahmins who didn't acquire spiritual knowledge perfectly created some sick systems like untouchability or something like that.
उत्तर द्याहटवाBut I have to remind you all of one thing: we are the same people who also pray and follow the lines of those who are intelligent and deserve respect and also appreciate other castes that do the same. For example, Lord Krishna (who was born in a no-brahmin shepherd family), Valmiki (a sudra). If you go into the deep root of the vedas, what you will find is that casteism is wrongly understood. There is a line which says, "by birth everyone is sudra, by work he can be kshatriya and baisya and by acquiring the complete knowledge of this material world, purpose of life and god he is brahmana".
You all should be broadminded. You say that brahmins show you the face of inequality, but you and I all know you or the government do the same in reverse.
Some people ridicule the beliefs and the harmless way of living of brahmins. The government is using the reservation system (one of the most unfair systems) as a vote bank and they will never change it easily and majority of the non-brahmin also wouldn't let it happen. So who will be selfish then? Do you think this is fair or equality or humanity?
By the way, I don't believe in any caste or religion. I believe in humanity. I see black people, white people, Chinese, biharis, etc., etc., equally but the condition is they should have human hearts and they shouldn't be racist. Be human first. Peace.
